Eligibility: To qualify for the JobSeeker Payment, you must be between 22 and Age Pension age, meet residence rules, and actively seek work. You may also be eligible if you are sick or injured and cannot work for a short time.

Payment Amount: The amount you receive depends on your personal circumstances, including your income and assets. Payments are made every two weeks, and the rates are updated twice a year, in March and September. As of March 2025, the fortnightly payment rates are subject to change based on your situation.

: To apply for JobSeeker Payment, you need to:

and link it to Centrelink.
Gather necessary documents

Submit your claim online, by phone, or in person at a Centrelink service center.

Reporting Requirements: You must report your income every two weeks and keep meeting your mutual obligation requirements to continue receiving payments. If your circumstances change, you can start your claim up to 13 weeks in advance.
